  32.   Well, this is my fifth month in blade, and my fifth collection. I would
  33.   like to wish everyone a happy new year's and I hope you all had a fine
  34.   holiday season. New Year's brings resolutions that aren't kept, so I
  35.   decided to think of some I can keep. One of them is my group, I have
  36.   determined that I will remain in BLADE for all of 1997. I think loyalty
  37.   is a lost virtue in the scene, back in the day people would join one
  38.   group and stay, now everyone seems to have a long list of groups .. I
  39.   will just stay with one. Another resolution I made for myself and I
  40.   think the scene should do as well, is commit to the board scene. If you
  41.   just sit around bitching about how boards are going to die, they will.
  42.   But if you make the effort to set your board up telnet, ( its not that
  43.   hard, or concentrate on your local scene, ( it cant get better if you
  44.   don't put forth the effort ), boards might be around for another few
  45.   years. The final resolution, these are all scene related of course, is
  46.   to spend as much time drawing as I do on irc ( doesnt include idling ),
  47.   this way I will hopefully improve and not waste my time listening to
  48.   people talk about niggers, gay sex, or imaginary social lives that seem
  49.   to be the focus of irc these days ..

  51.   This month I was also appointed ascii coordinator because MELTDOWN stepped
  52.   down. I hope I can do as good a job as he has done. I of course thank
  53.   mindcrime for this opportunity.
